Georgian Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili met with Masato Kanda, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Deputy Finance Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze also participated in the meeting.
The discussion focused on ongoing cooperation between Georgia and the ADB. Minister Khutsishvili congratulated Masato Kanda on his appointment as ADB President in February and wished him success in his role.
The parties reviewed Georgia’s recent economic progress, highlighting strong growth and macroeconomic stability. They also discussed ADB-supported projects across various sectors, contributing to the country’s development.
President Kanda praised Georgia’s role in regional and multilateral cooperation and expressed hope for continued successful partnership.
The Asian Development Bank has been a key partner for Georgia since joining in 2007, with total investments exceeding $5 billion. This year, ADB’s 58th Annual Meeting is being held in Milan, Italy.
