Easter Liturgy held in Holy Trinity Cathedral

The Georgian Orthodox Church is celebrating the glorious holiday of Easter.

The Easter Liturgy is taking place at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi. During the service, parishioners received the Easter Epistle from His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

Ilia II extended his Easter greetings to the faithful gathered at the cathedral and to all people across Georgia. Additionally, the Holy Fire, which was brought from Jerusalem by a special charter flight, has been delivered to the Trinity Cathedral.

Attending the Easter Liturgy are Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, and other representatives of the legislative and executive branches.

Easter services are also being held in Orthodox churches throughout the country.
