Bakuriani to host World Cup stage in mogul discipline on December 20-21

Bakuriani will host the World Cup stage in the mogul discipline under the auspices of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) on December 20-21.

The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development announced that 91 athletes from 19 countries, including the USA, Canada, Great Britain, and Switzerland, will compete in the event.

The competition will take place on Mount Kokhta, known for having the longest mogul track in the world, recognized by the International Ski Federation. Eurosport to live broadcast the event.

The event is supported by the Government of Georgia and organized by the Mountain Trails Agency (MTA) and the Georgian Ski Federation. FIS representatives will oversee the event’s organizational aspects.

Following Bakuriani’s success in hosting the World Championships in 2023, the Georgian resorts of Gudauri and Bakuriani will now host World Cup stages annually. Gudauri will continue the World Cup series in February and March 2025 with events in ski cross and snowboard cross.
