The Georgian women’s wheelchair fencing team has returned home from São Paulo, Brazil with six medals from the World Cup competition.
Family members and supporters greeted the triumphant para-fencers at the airport.
Irma Khetsuriani claimed gold in the sabre event. At the same tournament, Khetsuriani also secured a silver medal in foil fencing. Nina Tibilashvili contributed two medals to the team’s success, winning gold in the sabre and bronze in the foil competition.
The year 2025 has started successfully for Gvantsa Zadishvili as well. She has added two precious medals to her collection, securing silver medals in both sabre and foil events.
