Adjara Public Broadcaster re-announces director selection contest

The selection contest for the director of Adjara Public Broadcaster will be re-announced, Giga Chkhartishvili, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Adjara Public Broadcaster, announced on Friday.

The Adjara Public Broadcaster’s Board of Trustees had to pick a new director from among five candidates: Giorgi Kokhreidze, Akaki Beridze, Natia Tavdgiridze, Irakli Giorgadze, and Davit Chkhartishvili.

Giorgi Kokhreidze dropped his candidacy today due to a medical issue. Only Natia Tavdgiridze earned a vote from the board, which voted for four candidates. ​

Chkhartishvili explained that a new contest would be announced shortly because the selection has not yet been finalized.
