529 students, teachers test positive for COVID-19 in Israel

529 people in the education system in Israel have tested positive for coronavirus, The Jerusalem Post reported. Among those who contracted the virus are teachers and students.

The Education Ministry said 193 educational institutions are currently closed. 25,669 teaching staff and students are in quarantine.

Israel recorded 19 121 cases of coronavirus so far. 302 patients died of the virus.
