Truck driver heading from Batumi to Armenia tested positive for COVID-19

A resident of Batumi, who was heading by truck to Armenia through Poti, tested positive for COVID-19. Now the man is placed in one of the clinics in Armenia, – Deputy Head of the Poti Public Health Center Zizi Gagua told the Georgian First Channel.

As it turned out, the man is a truck driver and he stopped in Poti for a car repair service.

According to the head of the Coordination headquarters in Poti, Keso Gelenidze, the persons with whom the infected man had contact in Poti have already been identified. These five people have already been transferred from Poti to the quarantine zone in Batumi.
