ISFED to submit protocols on 8% imbalance to Commission of Inquiry

Nino Dolidze, Executive Director of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED), says the organization is about to complete its final report on the 2020 parliamentary elections.

New ISFED Chief says the eight percent imbalance observed in the parallel vote tabulation (PVT) results was a technical flaw.

“I think it was a really technical mistake, but the organization showed a very high responsibility when the management changed. As for the summary protocols, now the organization is preparing the final report,” said Nino Dolidze.

Asked whether her organization would agree to the ruling team’s request to submit protocols including imbalance identified in 8% of polling stations, Nino Dolidze confirmed the organization would submit the protocols to the parliamentary commission of inquiry.

The ISFED board member told journalists on December 25 that the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy used the Serbian model in the parallel vote tabulation (PVT) during the October 31 parliamentary elections. NDI experts involved in the process did not get a written notice about the model that had a technical fault and counted invalid ballots.

The organization stated on December 11, 2020, the flaws detected in the vote tabulation formula.

Elene Nizharadze, the Executive Director of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) in Georgia, resigned following the accident.
