GPB actively joins 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, Director General says

Tinatin Berdzenishvili, Director General of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB), said the Public Broadcaster would join the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence with different activities.

According to GPB Director General, media headquarters will be lit in red tonight to attract attention.

“We are joining the 16-day campaign, and we have a plan outlined what to do. Together with our partner organizations, we will hold several activities. Our building will be lit in red, which will attract attention signalling that violence against women exists and the public, we all together, have to eliminate it. Besides, we have various news coverage prepared on this topic, and we want this to run in a non-stop cycle on radio, television and online platform. Our door is opened to our partner organizations and not only for them, anyone who works on this issue. We are actively joining the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence within the framework of our mission,” Tinatin Berdzenishvili said.

Georgian Public Broadcaster joins a 16 days campaign against gender-based violence, which kicks off on November 25 – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and will last until December 10, Human Rights Day.
