Georgian Parliament Speaker to leave for Ukraine

Georgian Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava left for Ukraine for an official visit.

According to the parliament’s press service, Kakha Kuchava will participate in the commemoration ceremony of Babyn Yar and Ukraine’s Holocaust.

Presidents of Israel and Germany and Parliament Chairs of Austria, Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, and Poland will also attend the commemorational event.

This week marks 80 years since one of the worst massacres of World War Two. Nearly 34,000 Jews were killed by the Nazis at the ravine of Babyn Yar in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv in the space of just two days.
