Georgian citizens living abroad to receive ID cards free of charge and passports at discount

At the initiative of Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani, Georgian citizens living abroad will receive ID cards free of charge and passports at discount price USD 50 starting May 15.

As Tsulukiani stated during the briefing, ID cards will be issued free during 3 months, while discount price will be maintained during 2 months.

The purpose of the activity is perfection of voters’ lists for 2018 presidential elections and perfect database of bolometric data.

“This will also enable Georgian citizens being abroad to use electronic services offered by the Georgian government,” Tsulukiani said.
