Georgia reports 2,415 coronavirus cases, 943 recoveries, 26 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,415 coronavirus cases, 943 recoveries, and 26 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

37,627 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 21,135 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16,492 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,391 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 202 cases and the Kvemo Kartli region with 172 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 393,360, among them,  368,073 people recovered and 5,618 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6,42 %, while 5,03 % in the past 14 days.

There are 70 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,584 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,183 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 899 critical patients, 189 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 374,685 people got coronavirus jab.
