კონტეინერმზიდი ხომალდი „ევერგრინი“, რომელმაც სუეცის არხი დღეს ორჯერ გადაკეტა, მეჩეჩიდან საბოლოოდ გაიყვანეს.

კონტეინერების გადამტანი ხომალდი მეჩეჩიდან დილით ნაწილობრივ გაიყვანეს, თუმცა ძლიერი ქარის გამო, ხომალდი არხის ნაპირზე არსებულ სილაში მეორედ ჩაეფლო. რამდენიმესაათიანი სამაშველო ოპერაციის შედეგად, ხომალდის მობრუნება შესაძლებელი გახდა. ახლა ის ტბისკენ გადაჰყავთ, სადაც ტექნიკურ დათვალიერებას ჩაუტარებენ.

400-მეტრიანი კონტეინერმზიდი იაპონური კომპანია „შოჰეი კისენის“ საკუთრებაა და პანამის დროშის ქვეშ ცურავს. 23 მარტს გემმა ძლიერი ქარისა და ქვიშის ქარიშხლის გამო კურსი შეცვალა და სუეცის არხის სამხრეთ ნაწილში ერთი ხაზი გადაკეტა. სუეცის არხის ჩრდილოეთ და სამხრეთ ნაწილებში ხაზის გახსნას 300-ზე მეტი გემი ელოდება.
