Thorough reforms are being carried out at First Channel and a special presentation is being prepared so that that the public has information about ongoing processes at First Channel – Vasil Maghlaperidze, General Director of First Channel said.

Maghlaperidze reported that ongoing reforms and processes were the main topic of talks with Chairman of National Communications Commission Kakha Beqauri.

“National Communications Commission is one of the main defining bodies of media policy in the country. There are certain interests groups, which try to portray the processes in the wrong way on purpose. Everything will be responded,” Maghlaperidze said.

The management of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) introduced Kakha Beqauri, Chairman of Georgian National Communications Commission with the information about activities carried out for the last 1 year.

The activities included staff policy, expenses of transport and equipment exploitation, renewed infrastructure, technical refurbishment, renewed auto-park, new TV air, 7-language web portal and telephone applications.

Beqauri visited the integrated newsroom of First Channel and renewed radio studio.
