GPB Board of Trustees Chair: 2025 audit opinion significant; GPB new building completed, management administered work flawlessly
Chairman of the GPB Board of Trustees, Vasil Maghlaperidze, echoed the unconditional positive opinion issued by the international audit on the 2025 GPB First Channel’s financial statements.
Vasil Maghlaperidze assessed the audit opinion as significant.
“This is one of the primary mechanisms by which the Board of Trustees controls management’s financial operations. An external audit is conducted annually, and it has turned into a tradition that no violations or breaches of legislation have been identified in any category.
Nevertheless, the 2025 opinion was especially significant for us. As you know, we have finally moved to a new building. The building was completed, and the construction was led by the management, although this was neither within its competence nor its duties. Such a thing happens once in a thousand times, and it is pleasing and welcoming that the management administered this very well, and the work done is absolutely flawless,” he said.
The international auditing company Moore ABC Ltd has issued an unconditional positive opinion on the financial statements of Georgian Public Broadcaster’s First Channel for the year 2025.
The Public Broadcaster is audited annually by an internationally recognised auditing firm selected by its Board of Trustees.
The process encompasses audits of financial statements, public procurement and tax reporting.
The auditing company returned a positive opinion across all three areas, with no violations or breaches of legislation identified in any category.
