Teona Akubardia: I kept my word and did not grant legitimacy to party collaborating with enemy
“During a critical time for the country, I had to witness the one-party ‘Dream’ parliament vote three times on terminating my mandate. In the previous parliament, this happened twice – both times the vote was unsuccessful – while today Bidzina’s parliament succeeded on the third attempt,” said Teona Akubardia, a member of “Gakharia for Georgia,” party.
In her Facebook post, Akubardia said, “I kept my word and did not grant legitimacy to a party collaborating with the enemy. This is not Georgia’s parliament. It is Bidzina’s ‘booth’ that he joked about and formed back in 2012. I tried to do my part for Georgia both inside and outside the parliament.
“Georgia’s parliament must serve Georgia’s declared national interests, and we must collectively restore this purpose to this institution. My support goes to all political prisoners and the struggle that is vitally important for returning our homeland’s sovereignty and sovereign choice,” Akubardia added..
Members of the “Gakharia for Georgia” party have had their parliamentary powers terminated.
