Tengiz Tsertsvadze – There will be the second wave of coronavirus infection, but it will be less severe than the first one

Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director of Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center, told Georgian First Channel that only the God knows when and if there will be the second wave of novel coronavirus.

According to Tsertsvadze, the second wave of coronavirus infection was expected from October-November depending on a seasonal nature of the virus, but all this was presumption.

“If coronavirus has the seasonal character, like flu, there will be the second wave of the infection, but it will be less severe than the first one. Or it may not be at all,” Tsertsvadze said.
