Tbilisi Metro temporarily suspends operation

Transporting by Tbilisi metro is completely banned, – the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia stated at a briefing held after the conclusion of a session of the Interagency Coordination Council on the coronavirus.

This restriction has been introduced in the framework of measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

“It is completely forbidden to travel using any type of public transport (including the metro), both within and between cities and municipalities” – Prime Minister said.
