Tbilisi Metro and municipal transport extended until 02:00 through March 22 in connection with Patriarch Ilia II's funeral
Tbilisi Metro will operate extended hours until 02:00 from today through March 22.
According to the Tbilisi City Hall, municipal bus and minibus services will also have their operating hours extended from March 20th through 22nd.
“In connection with the passing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, the operating hours of municipal transport in the capital are being amended. Tbilisi Metro will operate until 2:00 a.m., extending its usual closing time of midnight, from today until March 22.
Starting tomorrow and continuing through March 22, municipal bus and minibus services will also operate with extended hours, allowing passengers to travel across the city until 2 a.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 21st and 22nd, travel on municipal transport throughout the capital will be free of charge,” the Tbilisi City Hall said in a statement.
