Tbilisi Mayor: Traitors must be held accountable for national losses

“Everyone who has committed treasonous acts against the country must be held accountable,” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.

Kaladze commented on the ruling party’s decision to establish a temporary parliamentary investigative commission to examine the actions of the government and its officials during 2003–2012.

He emphasized that holding such individuals accountable was a key election promise of the Georgian Dream.

“This was our commitment: anyone who betrayed the country must face consequences. No political party should serve foreign interests. Unfortunately, some politicians and a political party have committed acts of treason. The consequences are clear—we lost territories, civilians, and heroic soldiers, and were left with refugees. All this demands an appropriate response.”
