State Minister Akhvlediani extends condolences to grieving family after Saberio fire

“The tragic fire in the village of Saberio, located in the Gali district of occupied Abkhazia, has deeply shaken our nation,” expressed Tea Akhvlediani, the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality, in her condolence message.

Akhvlediani conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family:

“Today, all of Georgia mourns the loss of five young girls—Emilia, Ana-Maria, Elene, Nia, and Sofio Tcholaria. This heartbreaking tragedy, resulting from the fire in Saberio, has enveloped our country in sorrow. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family enduring this unimaginable loss of their five children. I wish them strength during this difficult time and offer my deepest sympathy,” stated Tea Akhvlediani.

The victims of the fire will be laid to rest today. In remembrance of this tragedy, the Georgian government has declared January 9 a day of mourning.
