Seasonal flu virus recorded in Georgia

The seasonal type B influenza has been recorded in Georgia, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC) announced.

Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of NCDC, said on December 7 that there is sufficient storage, approximately 65 thousand flu shots, available for everybody in the country.

“The government purchased 235 thousand flu vaccine shots this year,” Amiran Gamkrelidze said and called on all pregnant women for timely vaccination.
