Health Minister on flu virus: Nothing special happening, all indicators within norm
“Regarding the flu, compared to previous years, nothing special is happening; all indicators are within norm,” said Mikheil Sarjveladze, Georgian Health Minister.
According to Mikheil Sarjveladze, Georgia thoroughly prepared for the flu virus this season, but once again called on the population for immunization.
“There is nothing strange in the fact that flu cases increase during the winter season. This is a natural process. I would like to assure society that, compared to previous years, nothing special is happening; all indicators are within the norm.
We are monitoring the process, comparing the situation with other countries. All this is under control. The healthcare sector is ready to address the challenge. I urge everyone to follow standard hygiene standards and get vaccinated,” he concluded.
