Salome Zurabishvili – Georgia’s European aspiration has never been so strong

President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili opened the Forum of European Business Leaders in Paris, France. More than 700 representatives of business sector attended the forum including those who already operate on the Georgian market. The forum was organized by Medef International.

In the speech delivered before the audience, Georgian President underlined that Georgia was ready to come closer to Europe in every sphere – education, sports and culture, and that Georgia’s European aspiration has never been so strong.

“When I am told that European Union is a dream, I answer that the history of Europe is dreams that came true: Reconciliation of France and Germany, unification of Germany and expansion of Europe eastward. Europe is nothing if it is not dreaming,” President said.

Zurabishvili said that Georgia was building hope on the European ambition being carried out by the French President Emmanuel Macron. “I told President and will repeat the same here: Georgia wants the success of the project of European Renaissance,” Zurabishvili said.
