Rio's Christ the Redeemer statue illuminated to show countries with COVID-19

The Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro was illuminated with the flags and maps of countries and continents affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Georgian flag is one of them.

The 125-foot-tall statue, which last year saw almost 2 million visitors, closed amid COVID-19 pandemic.

More than 500 people are infected with COVID-19, four of them died.
