Polish and Czech Foreign Ministries express concern over Archil Tatunashvili’s death

Polish and Czech Foreign Ministries have released statements over death of Archil Tatunashvili, Georgian citizen in occupied Tskhinvali region.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the statement posted by the Polish Foreign Ministry on Twitter says that Archil Tatunashvili, who died in uncertain circumstances, is another victim of illegal occupation of the Georgian territory by Russia. Poland demands an objective and immediate investigation into the death of the Georgian citizen and punishment of the perpetrators. Poland also demands immediate release of other Georgian citizens illegally detained on the occupied territories.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic has also posted a statement regarding this tragic event on Twitter.

The Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern over the tragic death of Archil Tatunashvili, condemned human rights violations in the occupied Tskhinvali region and demanded international human rights institutions to be allowed to work in the occupied regions.
