PM to visit United Arab Emirates

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has travelled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to the Government Administration, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance.

During the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed with EMAAR, one of the largest development companies. The agreement involves a multi-billion-dollar investment in Georgia.

The delegation will also hold meetings with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and its logistics division, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group. The company, actively involved in developing the Middle Corridor, is currently implementing the Tbilisi Dry Port project, slated for completion in 2025. Plans are underway to expand cooperation on strategic, logistical, and transportation projects.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Tornike Rizhvadze, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
