PM: Strong, development-oriented Police is pillar of state strength

“Today, we remember your heroic comrades who lost their lives while carrying out their duties. I bow before the bright memory of those who gave the most precious thing — their own lives — to save others. Their dedication serves as an example for future generations,” the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze paid tribute to police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty while addressing an event marking Police Day.

The prime minister honored the memory of fallen officers and highlighted their sacrifice in protecting others.

The head of government also stressed that strengthening the police institution and properly valuing the work of police officers remain key priorities for the Georgian government.

“We fully understand that a strong police force, constantly focused on development, is and will remain one of the main pillars of a strong state. Therefore, strengthening the police institution and properly appreciating the work of police officers remains an unwavering priority for our government,” he stated.

Kobakhidze congratulated law enforcement officers on their professional holiday and wished them success and peace.
