PM introduces new Economy Minister to staff

The Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, introduced the new Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, to the ministry’s staff.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked outgoing Minister Levan Davitashvili for his service, highlighting that he will continue to contribute to the country’s economic development as the Prime Minister’s Chief Economic Advisor and Secretary of the Economic Council.

Kobakhidze wished Kvrivishvili success in her new role and emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the economy.

“Mariam Kvrivishvili has achieved notable success in tourism and aviation. I am confident she will perform just as effectively as Minister of Economy,” said the PM.

The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to all ministry employees, highlighting their essential role in Georgia’s economic progress.

Levan Davitashvili congratulated the new minister and thanked his colleagues.

“I look forward to sharing my experience with the economic team. This marks a new and important chapter for the ministry—renewal brings fresh initiatives, which are vital for our country’s development,” he said.

Mariam Kvrivishvili thanked the Prime Minister for his trust.

“We are continuing vital and ambitious projects. With unity and teamwork, we will complete current initiatives and launch new ones aligned with government policy and the Prime Minister’s vision. I am confident we will achieve even greater success for our country,” Kvrivishvili said.
