Population worries over drug price rise, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at today’s government sitting.
Preliminary information shows some drugs have 300- 400% price tags which are unacceptable, PM underscored.
“Nothing like this happens in any other country. We need to make the right decisions shortly as it affects the well-being of our population.
I talked several times with the Head of the Georgian National Competition Agency working in this regard. The agency will present an interim monitoring report in the coming days.
I would also like to instruct Health Minister to be in close coordination with the agency and duly present the analysis to find the solution,” Garibashvili stressed.
