Opposition Alliance march underway in Tbilisi

A march is taking place in Tbilisi organized by the Opposition Alliance, with participants moving from Tbilisi State University toward Liberty Square.

Ahead of the march, one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance, Nika Gvaramia, emphasized the importance of large public participation and joint decision-making.

“The goal is for us to see each other again. The goal is for everyone, both inside and outside the country, to see us. The goal is to create a kind of reset, primarily through large-scale public participation and making important decisions together. This is an event planned by politicians, but decisions must be made jointly, and we must follow a unified, clearly defined path.

I hope that, to the test we have already passed very successfully — the test of endurance over time — we will now add a test of numbers, and that we will also be many. I am very happy about today, and I also congratulate you on this day.

A day like May 26 is very rare in our country’s history. It is a great day, and I hope that Georgia’s independence will remain firm for a very long time. However, this requires constant work, constant protection, the ability to breathe freely, and a continuous struggle for independence,” Gvaramia said.
