Georgia's First Lady hosts First Lady of Serbia during Aleksandar Vučić’s official visit to Georgia
As part of the official visit of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to Georgia, the First Lady of Serbia, Tamara Vučić, was hosted by the spouse of the Georgian President, Tamar Bagration.
According to the Press Office of the President of Georgia, the First Ladies travelled to the Kakheti region as part of a curated cultural itinerary, where they visited the Sighnaghi Museum of History and Ethnography, part of the National Museum of Georgia. Tamar Bagration introduced her Serbian counterpart to the region’s rich historical heritage, its unique ethnographic treasures, and masterpieces of Georgian art.
“During the visit, the First Lady of Serbia, accompanied by Tamar Bagration, also visited the Bodbe Saint Nino Convent, one of Georgia’s most significant spiritual and cultural sanctuaries. The parties noted that such visits serve to highlight even more clearly the enduring cultural and spiritual ties that bind these two Orthodox Christian nations,” the official statement read.
