New Georgian ambassadors appointed to Turkey, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Cuba

The Georgian government has appointed new ambassadors to Turkey, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Cuba, the Foreign Ministry stated on Thursday.

Archil Kalandia has been appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador to Turkey. He has been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various positions since 2005.

Shota Getsadze has been chosen as Georgia’s ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He has vast experience working in numerous capacities within the court system. He also works as a refugee and asylum specialist for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), as well as an election law expert for the Council of Europe. He joined the International Association of Refugee Court Judges in 2015.

Grigol Baramidze has been named Georgia’s ambassador to Cuba. He formerly served as the Ambassador to Armenia.
