Georgian Ambassador to Turkey deems Speaker's Turkey visit 'productive'

Georgia’s Ambassador to Turkey, Archil Kalandia, has described the official visit of Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili to Turkey as “substantive and productive.”

According to Kalandia, the Georgian delegation held high-level meetings, including with the Speaker of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly and the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

“There were other important meetings as well, which I am confident will bring concrete outcomes in the near future,” Kalandia said. “Georgia and Turkey share a strategic partnership. Our high-level contacts are developing dynamically. We expect further deepening of trade, economic and business ties, as well as political cooperation, taking our partnership to a qualitatively new stage.”
