NCDC identifies teenager scratched by rabid dog

The Georgian National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health (NCDC) identified a teenager scratched by a rabid dog.

Eka Adamia, NCDC Deputy Director, said the teenager got rabies vaccination, and the parents took the necessary measures.

The National Food Agency on December 19 said it was looking for a teenager scratched by a dog near the Gulf gas station on the Kakheti highway, close to the cosmonaut monument.

The agency reported that the dog died and was confirmed to have rabies based on laboratory examination.
