MP Matikashvili: Opposition is disorganized; bet placed on them failed to pay off

“If anyone has defended Georgia at all costs, it is this government,” stated David Matikashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Procedural Issues Committee.

“The government spared the country from the greatest misfortune awaiting it. We can easily imagine what condition Georgia would be in if the government had given in to the demands of radicals and agents, and if Georgia had become involved in the same military actions that our friend Ukraine became involved in,” Matikashvili declares.

According to him, the opposition is disorganized.

“The bet placed on them failed to pay off. They couldn’t receive the support of the public,” Matikashvili noted in response to a question about the protest rally planned for today.
