Radical picketing continues – said Gigi Ugulava, a member of European Georgia Party and one of the organizers of protests in front of the parliament. Ugulava said that dispersal of a peaceful protest by force was ‘Putinism.’
Representatives of Special Task Units removed the tents set up by protesters at Rustaveli Avenue. Representatives of Special Squad forced protesters away from the road at Chitadze Street with purpose to clear entrances of the parliament building. Several protesters were detained.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) gave protesters 30 minutes as the deadline to clear the territory at the Georgian parliament. Water Cannons were used against protesters on the territory of the Georgian parliament.
