The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia is “following the recent ruling by the Georgian Supreme Court against Gigi Ugulava with concern.“
The Ministry tweeted that “the circumstances around this verdict are not conducive to advancing the political dialogue aimed at a much needed depolarisation of the political situation in Georgia.“

Yesterday, Supreme Court of Georgia sentenced opposition leader Gigi Ugulava to three years and two months in prison for the embezzlement of 48 million GEL from Tbilisi Municipal Development fund.
