Speaker Papuashvili departs for Serbia to participate in First Conference of Parliament Chairs from EU Candidate Countires

Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili departed for Belgrade, Serbia, for an official visit. He will participate in the first (founding) conference of Parliament Chairs from EU candidate countries organized at the initiative of Parliament Speakers of Serbia and Ukraine.

According to the press service of the Georgian Parliament, the Conference aims to establish a regular and effective format for parliament speakers, designed to deepen parliamentary dialogue among candidate countries, facilitate information exchange and the coordination of viewpoints, and foster mutual support in the EU integration process.

Speaker Shalva Papuashvili will address the conference participants and participate in the working sessions. The participants will adopt a joint statement at the end of the conference.
