In his Facebook post, Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili echoed information released in the media according to which the European Union funded organizations involved in supporting and organizing protest rallies in Europe.

According to Papuashvili, it is hard to doubt the accuracy of the information.

“It is difficult to doubt the accuracy of this information, given that we know for a fact that EU funds in Georgia were used to finance not only radical groups, but also a ‘Molotov Cocktail’ campaign and equipment for resisting the police,” he said.

The international media released the information that five human rights organizations and trade unions involved in supporting and organizing protests in France and Italy received funding from the European Union.
