Lelo's Khazaradze: Sanctions to continue beyond 200 officials until new elections, political prisoners' release
“Various countries have already sanctioned two hundred officials, and this process obviously will continue until new elections are held and political prisoners are released,” wrote Mamuka Khazaradze, the Lelo party leader, on social media.
“When will these officials realize that they are merely servants of Bidzina, executing his illegal orders and thus engaging in activities that undermine our state?!
Ivanishvili cares nothing for their welfare! His only concern is his own wealth and security.
I want to tell these officials: Reflect on the coming years. This man will ruin all of you, just as he has destroyed so many in the recent past, and by then, you will have already sustained significant damage.
Think carefully and escape while you still can! Do not gamble the future of yourselves and your families on one individual; otherwise, it will be too late! Time is running out!” Khazaradze warns.
The UK has sanctioned four Georgian officials, including Georgia’s General Prosecutor, as part of the latest action against ‘serious human rights violations.’
