Kaladze: Opposition must accept election defeat and embrace national progress
In response to a journalist’s question regarding protest marches in the capital, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated that the current situation is markedly different. He emphasized that the population is now well-informed about the nature of colour revolutions, their scenarios, and the underlying control.
According to Kaladze, the opposition’s actions stem from their inability to accept their defeat in the parliamentary elections.
“Their tactics have simply become outdated. Today, our citizens understand the dynamics at play. Initially, following the Prime Minister’s announcement on November 28th against blackmail, there were claims that we were halting European integration. This, however, was a falsehood. We are not stopping the process; in fact, we are eager to advance negotiations. The decision to move forward lies with them.
The driving force behind these protests is their refusal to acknowledge their losses in the parliamentary elections on October 26th and the presidential elections on December 14th. This is a reality they must eventually accept, both domestically and abroad. Our country is on a path toward peace, development, and progress,” Kaladze asserted.
