Israeli Knesset Speaker congratulates Georgian Speaker on Georgia’s Independence Day

The Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Amir Ohana, congratulated the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day.

In his congratulatory letter, Ohana highlighted the deepening friendship and cooperation between the Israeli and Georgian peoples over the past three decades.

“Mr. Chairman, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and the Georgian people on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day. The friendship between our nations and the constructive cooperation between our countries—particularly at the parliamentary level—have significantly strengthened over the past thirty years.

I was especially pleased with our recent meeting at the International Parliamentary Assembly in Tashkent, and I am confident that our productive dialogue will continue moving forward.

Please accept my warmest congratulations and best wishes for a successful Independence Day celebration,” the letter reads.
