Papuashvili on German Ambassador: We took oath of Georgian Army, while Mr Fischer took oath of squadrons of contempt
“Peter Fischer is the only individual who, in Georgia, incites hatred, hate speech, and violence, and so he presumably found his place to be more naturally amongst the squadrons of contempt than alongside the Georgian Army,” declared Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
He added that an invitation to attend the May 26 celebrations would have been sent to everyone.
“I rather doubt attending was even his wish. Yesterday, we stood there alongside the Georgian Army and listened to the Georgian military oath. The whole of society received the oath of the conscripts of the Georgian Army, whilst Mr Peter customarily receives the oath of the squadrons of contempt. He is the only individual who, in Georgia, incites, endorses, and justifies contempt, hate speech, and violence. So he presumably found his place to be more naturally amongst the squadrons of contempt than alongside the Georgian Army. I was not the organiser, but I presume that, of course, an invitation would have been sent to everyone,” Papuashvili declared.
