UK Ambassador: Oath-taking service very moving, Defence Forces are proud guardians of sovereignty and independence

The British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, said that the oath-taking ceremony held at Liberty Square was an impressive event.

In a social media post, the diplomat noted that the Georgian Defence Forces are proud defenders of sovereignty and independence.

“I found today’s oath taking service at Freedom Square very moving. The Georgian Defence Forces are proud guardians of sovereignty and independence. So I was pleased to pass on His Majesty The King’s message of congratulations,” the ambassador wrote.
