Investigation Service interrogates GPB cameraman injured at protest
Beso Gaprindashvili, a cameraman for the GPB First Channel who was injured during a demonstration, was questioned by investigators and provided detailed information.
According to Gaprindashvili, while performing his duties, an unknown individual fired a pyrotechnic at him, resulting in an injury to his hand. His health is currently stable.
“I was called in by the investigative agency regarding the incident from last Tuesday. I was working during the demonstration when a pyrotechnic was fired at me. It injured my hand. An investigation has been launched into the interference with a journalist’s work. I am now feeling better,” said Beso Gaprindashvili.
The investigation into the unlawful interference with a journalist’s professional duties is ongoing under Article 333, Part 3, Subparagraph “b” and Article 154, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
