Interior Minister meets Armenian Ambassador

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Gela Geladze, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of Armenia to Georgia, Ashot Smbatyan.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the meeting emphasized the importance of peace and cooperation for the sustainable development of the South Caucasus region. The parties discussed regional developments and security issues, and Minister Geladze highlighted the Ministry’s visit to Armenia in June. He noted that productive meetings were held with both the Armenian Prime Minister and his counterpart from the Interior Ministry, and he expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to the Georgian delegation.

The sides also discussed the close and effective police cooperation between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies and expressed hope for further strengthening of ties through continued joint efforts.
