Grigol Vashadze – Our allies are interested if there is space for agreement
Grigol Vashadze, Leader of National Movement Party said that consultations are ongoing at U.S. Ambassador to Georgia because facilitator Ambassadors are interested in if there is any space left for an agreement and finding any kind of compromise.
According to Vashadze, the year of 2021 will be the hardest for Georgia with respect to economic, political, foreign, pandemic hardships and Russia on the porch. But all demands of the opposition remain in force.
“We should hope that absolutely everybody, and, first of all, the government, which has the highest responsibility, will understand how important the functional parliament is today for the country when 2/3 of the population does not recognize president and when we have such crisis and so many challenges,” Vashadze said.
Vashadze said that Georgia’s strategic allies and mediators decided to act as facilitators and hold consultations so that the second round does not remain just for a meeting because it is nonsense when the sides ask for arbitrage and repeat one and the same at a negotiations table.
