GPB's Vasil Maghlaperidze states MPs' designation for adopting laws kills idea of parliamentary system
“The law has nothing to do with it, and there is no need to be fooled! The designation of MPs for adopting a law kills the very idea of the parliamentary system. It is a black day for democracy,” Vasil Maghlaperidze, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of the GPB First Channel, posted on the social network.
Maglaferidze believes “this case will remain a tragic and curious instance in world history!”
“The pathetic freedom of expression is generally hidden in the corner, behind the broom, and it knows sanctions are not the end. For those who don’t remember and are interested, that’s what Bolshevism was – only what they said was true, and they knew how to sanction! If you are happy with this, visit the library and look at the 30s press!” Vasil Maghlaperidze posted.
The US Department of State spokesperson, Matthew Miller, announced visa restrictions on dozens of Georgian citizens. According to him, the first tranche includes members of the Georgian Dream, members of parliament, law enforcement officers and individuals.
