GPB Board of Trustees fail to elect Chairperson

The Board of Trustees of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) failed to elect a new chairperson during today’s sitting.

The election of the chairperson requires a majority of 5 votes. A member of the Board, candidate Besik Liluashvili received 4 votes. One candidate Bondo Mdzinarashvili lifted off his candidacy and announced that he would not vote for any other candidate.

Terms of duties to acting Chairperson of the GPB Board of Trustees, Irina Putkaradze expires.
